Controlled Medications Are Not Prescribed By Simplicity Health DPC.
We absolutely recognize that pain, anxiety, and other issues treated with controlled medications are real and valid. Particular medications to treat these conditions are labeled as “controlled” by the FDA. This designation is given to medication that has abuse or addiction potential. Examples of these medications are: Vicodin, Percocet, Ativan, Xanax, Valium, and Adderall.
We believe that these conditions can often be managed without the use of potentially harmful medications. After all, our philosophy is rooted in simplifying and decreasing medication, not adding.
Rarely, patients may require controlled medication. Under these unique circumstances, our doctors will refer patients to specialists in those fields to help co-manage those conditions
