Why would I pay extra when I already have insurance?
Why would you pay extra for a snack or a drink on the airplane when the pretzels/drink are included?
Why would you pay extra to have a massage when your husband/wife/partner could do it for free?
Why would you get a manicure/pedicure when you could paint your nails at home?
Why would you purchase a gym membership when you can exercise for free?
The answer to those questions?
For a better experience.
Your health should be a top priority that is worth paying for a better experience and better outcomes.
PPO/HMO Insurance Plans
Some insurance plans cover the cost of lab work, medications, or imaging. If you have great insurance, we will be sure to take advantage of it if/when it’s beneficial for you to do so. Even with the best insurance in the world, our membership still offers many benefits.
In fact, over 70% of our current patients have excellent health insurance and still choose to see us because of the following benefits:
24/7 cell phone access
Extended 30 or 60-minute office visits
Part of a limited patient panel that allows for a much higher quality of care that isn’t possible when the doctor has thousands of patients to see
You might be surprised at how much we can save you even with great insurance…
We’ve had countless experiences where we’ve saved highly-insured patients hundreds (and even over $1,000 on a few occasions) of dollars on medications, labs, or imaging.
IMPORTANT: If we find that it is cheaper for you to get a test or medication using insurance, we still have that option. If we find that it is more cost-effective to find cash prices outside of insurance, we have that option, too. We will lay out your different options for you to choose what is best for you.
Nothing happens to your insurance and your insurance coverage if you join our practice. You can still use your insurance as normal if you would be hospitalized or we find it is cheaper to get a test or medication through insurance.
Re-think Your Health Insurance
We encourage you to think of your health insurance like auto insurance. You pay a premium every month, but hopefully you never need to use it. You pay out of pocket for things like oil changes, brakes, new tires, etc. You carry the insurance in case something catastrophic would happen.
We think health insurance can be applied the same way. If we lower the price of labs, imaging, medication, etc by 90-95% - then healthcare becomes affordable. We can get all of your labs cheaper than the price of a new set of windshield wipers! Literally. We aren’t joking.
